Democrats are all fucking lunatics and liars.
In November 2020, when University of Pennsylvania graduate
student Mackenzie Fierceton won the prestigious and highly
competitive Rhodes Scholarship to study at Oxford — one of just
32 scholars selected from a pool of 2,300 applicants — she was
praised by the Ivy League school’s president in a newsletter.

“Mackenzie is so deserving of this prestigious
opportunity,” declared president Amy Gutmann of the 23-year-old
from suburban St. Louis. “As a first-generation [to go to
college] low-income student and a former foster youth, Mackenzie
is passionate about championing young people [and] dedicating
herself to a life of public service.”

But a few months later, Fierceton had lost her prestigious
scholarship and was fighting against accusations that she had
been “blatantly dishonest” about her childhood in her Penn and
Rhodes applications.

Now, the investigation into her story is being revealed by the
Chronicle of Higher Education — including the Rhodes committee’s
findings that Fierceton “created and repeatedly shared false
narratives about herself,” using these “misrepresentations” to
“serve her interests as an applicant for competitive programs.”

The case also exposes the murky underbelly of elite schools like
Penn and their quest to “show that they’re transforming society
rather than laundering its inequalities” by accepting
“remarkable” applicants with truly tragic backgrounds, according
to the Chronicle report.

Multiple college consultants told The Post that the college
application process now features more questions about overcoming
obstacles. The 2021-2022 essay prompts from Common App, the
organization that oversees undergrad applications for more than
900 schools, include “Recount a time when you faced a challenge,
setback, or failure.”

“There are a lot of pressures out there for applications right
now,” Marco Santini, a New York-based college education
consultant, told The Post. “I always try to tell students not to
do the sob story because there is always someone with a sadder
story. I tell students that when they submit their application,
they have to make sure that everything they have said in their
personal statement is true … that they have to stand by what
they wrote.”

Categorizing herself as a first-generation, low-income student
with a history of horrific abuse — who also earned nearly
straight A’s and was student body president in high school —
Fierceton certainly fit the bill. She was admitted to Penn in
2015 to study political science, then began studying for a
clinical master’s degree in social work in 2018.

When Fierceton’s Rhodes Scholarship was announced, the
Philadelphia Inquirer profiled the academic star in November
2020, noting that she “grew up poor, cycling through the rocky
child welfare system [and] bounced from one foster home to the
next.”

As Fierceton said in that story: “I would trade [the Rhodes
honor] to have been adopted and have a family.”

But after that Nov. 22, 2020, profile ran, an anonymous accuser
sent an email to Penn and the Rhodes Trust, claiming Fierceton’s
story was “blatantly dishonest.” The email reportedly alleged
that Fierceton grew up in St. Louis, Mo., with her mother, an
educated radiologist; that her family was upper-middle class;
and that she had attended a fancy private high school and
enjoyed such high-end hobbies as horseback riding.

The Post could not confirm when Penn received this email.
Fierceton gave statements to her hometown paper directly
referencing her attendance at the Whitfield School and thanking
several teachers there who had mentored her in an article
published Nov. 24, 2020.

According to the Chronicle, Fierceton lived with her mother,
Carrie Morrison — a divorcée and director of breast imaging and
mammography at a local hospital — “on a [suburban] tree-lined
cul-de-sac with large houses and well-groomed lawns.”

She attended Whitfield, a $30,000-a-year private school in St.
Louis, although the Chronicle does not note how her tuition was
paid for or if she received financial aid.

In 2019, Fierceton testified in a court hearing that, in
September 2014, her mother allegedly pushed her down a set of
stairs and hit her in the face several times. The teen said she
was sent to the hospital the next day after collapsing at
school. Fierceton’s mother denied the account and said the teen
had accidentally gone down two or three steps while Morrison was
helping remove gum from her hair.

Morrison told the Chronicle in a statement: “Mackenzie is deeply
loved by her mom and family. Our greatest desire is that
Mackenzie chooses to live a happy, healthy, honest, and
productive life, using her extraordinary gifts for the highest
good.” (The Post was not able to reach Morrison, Fierceton or
Fierceton’s lawyer, Dion Rassias, for comment.)

After the 2014 incident, Morrison was arrested and charged with
two counts of felony child abuse or neglect and one count of
misdemeanor assault — charges that were later dropped. An email
from assistant prosecuting attorney Michael Hayes, quoted in the
Chronicle, said: “The more I learned [about the case], the less
certain I became about what really happened.”

When Penn received the anonymous accusations about Fierceton,
she was reportedly questioned in the fall of 2020 by the
university’s deputy provost, Dr. Beth Winkelstein, about
everything from her mother’s job and income to the trash bag of
donated clothes she said she had dragged from one foster home to
another in her essay application for Rhodes.

According to Winkelstein’s subsequent report, Fierceton was
raised in an upper-middle-class household; it also notes her
mother is a radiologist and that her grandfather had graduated
from college.

No one disputes that Fierceton spent a year in official foster
care, during which she bounced around to different homes, and
then continued to live with a foster family. But Winkelstein
said in a letter to the Rhodes committee, sent a week after her
call with Fierceston, that the student had “constructed a
narrative regarding her childhood” and recommended that the
committee conduct its own probe, which it did in April 2021.

The Rhodes committee questioned Fierceton about the
undergraduate essay she wrote when applying to Penn. In it, she
detailed her hospital stay after the alleged incident with her
mother, including claims that her hair was “caked with dried
blood” and her facial features were “so distorted and swollen
that I cannot tell them apart.”

The committee concluded that this was “inconsistent with the
hospital records,” adding, “Either [Fierceton] has fabricated
this abuse by her mother, or her mother has lied about the
terrible abuse…”

The committee recommended that Fierceton’s Rhodes Scholarship be
revoked. In response, she withdrew herself from the honor.

“Penn and the Rhodes Trust received credible information that
called into question statements Ms. Fierceton made in her
applications for admission, financial assistance, and
scholarships,” a Penn spokesperson told The Post. “The Rhodes
Trust conducted its own investigation, during which it
considered evidence and arguments provided by Ms. Fierceton and
her attorney … The Trust then gave Ms. Fierceton the opportunity
to withdraw her candidacy if she chose to do so. Ms. Fierceton
accepted that offer and withdrew her candidacy.”

The Rhodes Trust did not get back to The Post for comment.

Penn then followed up with its own formal investigation in
August 2021, probing Fierceton’s assertion that she would be the
first in her family to graduate from college.

As the Chronicle reports: “If ‘first generation’ means the first
in one’s family to attend college — the widely used, common-
sense meaning — Fierceton’s answer would be plainly false.”

However, according to the school’s website, this definition can
also include students who are the first in their families to
“pursue higher education at an elite institution.” Fierceton’s
mother did not attend an Ivy League university, though the
Chronicle does not note where Morrison went to college.

Furthermore, the website for Penn First Plus, the school’s
inclusivity initiative, broadens the definition of first-
generation to include students who “have a strained or limited
relationship with the person(s) in your family who hold(s) a
bachelors degree.”

By the time she applied to Penn, Fierceton was estranged from
her mother and supporting herself. Still, the school found
Fierceton describing herself as “first-generation” on her
application to graduate school to be “objectively inaccurate.”

Santini, the college consultant, noted: “On the economic side,
there are so many applications to schools that it is impossible
for schools to fact check everything.”

Penn is now withholding Fierceton’s master’s degree — which she
was scheduled to receive in May 2020 — pending a final
disciplinary decision. Her bachelor’s degree is seemingly not in
question.

The University of Pennsylvania said in a statement to the
Chronicle: “Truthfulness is essential to academic integrity at
Penn as well as a core selection criterion for the Rhodes Trust.”

Just before Christmas, Fierceton — who changed her last name
while in college — filed an explosive lawsuit in Philadelphia
Common Pleas Court, claiming the university, its trustees and
three Penn officials had participated in a complex conspiracy
against her.

She alleges that Penn conducted a “sham investigation” into her
background, unjustifiably withheld her master’s degree and wrote
a “secret letter” to the Rhodes committee to discredit her. The
claim also accuses Wendy White, Penn’s general counsel, of
threatening to “come after” both of Fierceton’s degrees if she
did not give up her Rhodes Scholarship.

Furthermore, Fierceton claims in her suit that the school
conducted its investigation because she had complained to
administrators about insufficient access to emergency services
at Penn after she had a seizure at school in early 2020.

“We are disappointed that Mackenzie Fierceton has chosen to file
a lawsuit, especially after she has received so many
opportunities at Penn,” a Penn representative told The Post.
“There is no basis for Ms. Fierceton’s claims.”

Fierceton seems to have few regrets about her essays. As she
told the Chronicle: “Where I’ve landed is that I have a right to
write about my experiences as I experienced them. Period.”

A local high school athletic director is under investigation,
accused of having sex with student athletes.

The athletic director, 40-year-old Tiffany Strauss Gordon has
now been placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of a
police investigation.

The accusers claim the misconduct happened nearly two decades
ago.

Gordon is the current athletic director at Grand Terrace High
School. Now six male former student athletes are accusing
Tiffany Strauss Gordon of sexually abusing them while they
attended Colton High School where Gordon was once an athletic
trainer.

"Each one of my clients has struggled with what occurred early
on in their childhood until today," said Brian Williams, the
former students attorney. "Each has their own stories about how
this has affected them over the years."

Williams is representing the six accusers who say the sexual
misconduct happened during the early 2000's when they played for
the Colton High School Varsity Football Team.

The alleged victims are now in their 30's.

"They've reached an age in their life where they have children
of their own or in some instances nieces and nephews and them
coming forward now is not just an effort to seek their own
justice but they are trying to protect other kids," Williams
said.

According to the complaint, the accusers say Gordon had sex with
them on multiple occasions at school and outside of school.

"We have instances where the abuse occurred in weight rooms, the
varsity football locker room, bathrooms, classrooms, and in a
van used to drive football players to football events," Williams
said.

Williams says his clients also claim football staff members knew
about the abuse but kept quiet about it.

At the time, Gordon's father Harold Strauss was a legendary
football coach at Colton High School.

He passed away in 2019.

"They are members of an acclaimed high school football team and
ultra competitive athletes wanting to win on the field and then
you have this woman who is performing sexual events with them
and she's the daughter of the head coach," Williams said.

Gordon's attorney Paul Wallin calls the accusations outlandish
and points out that during her decades in the Colton Joint
Unified School District she has never had any previous
allegations against her.

"My client is a mother, she has been involved in the school
system for over two decades," Wallin said. "I just urge the
public like they would want to do for someone they love was
accused of a crime like this, that they keep an open mind and
not make a judgment from what the media says and wait for the
evidence to come in."

The Colton Joint Unified School District released a statement to
NBC4 saying in part that Gordon has been placed on
administrative leave.

It also says they are fully cooperating with the Colton Police
Department's criminal investigation into the matter.

COLTON, California -- Six former high school athletes are
accusing their former football trainer, Tiffany Strauss-Gordon,
of sexually abusing them while they were students at Colton High
School more than two decades ago.

"This was an open secret. The high school students at Colton and
their staff had a name for her sexual abuse of these children,"
said attorney Mike Reck with Jeff Anderson and Associates.

Reck and Jemma Dunn with Greenberg Gross are representing the
former players who have filed a lawsuit against Strauss-Gordon
and Colton Joint Unified School District.

In the lawsuit, it claims: "Gordon's sexual assaults occurred
throughout Colton High School's campus, including in the locker
room, training room, bathrooms, weight room, and football
trailer."

Strauss-Gordon is the daughter of legendary high school football
coach Harold Strauss, and was the team's trainer during her
father's tenure.

"If the roles were reversed the story would be very different.
Nobody would be questioning whether this was an assault. There
would be people in jail," Dunn said. "I mean there would be an
uproar."

During one encounter, the lawsuit states, that "Under the guise
of providing medical treatment and physical therapy, Gordon took
advantage of John Doe 7042 during treatments and sexually
assaulted him ...."

Attorneys for the players who are all identified as John Does
say the behavior was allowed and even referred to as getting
"Tiffany's special treatment."

"A perpetrator male or female should not be able to leverage
their position of power and their access to these children in
order to sexually assault them," Reck said.

Strauss-Gordon's attorney disputes the claims, questioning why
the alleged victims are only now stepping forward more than 20
years later, adding his client has not been criminally charged.

"So far, no criminal charges have been filed and hopefully that
means that the prosecutors do not think they have sufficient
evidence to convict her of a crime," said Gordon's attorney,
Paul Wallin.

The Colton Joint Unified School District released a statement
that reads in part, "The District has made itself, and will
continue to make itself, completely available to the Colton
Police Department. The District is committed to ensuring that
law enforcement has access to all of the facts and information
for their investigation."

Strauss-Gordon remains employed by the district as the athletic
director at Grand Terrace High School. She has been placed on
administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation,
which her attorney said by law the district had to do.

CORRECTION: This article previously described Strauss-Gordon as
an athletic trainer. The National Athletic Trainers' Association
(NATA) tells says Strauss-Gordon "is not a member of the
organization nor an athletic trainer (AT) by profession,
education or certification."

COLTON, CALIFORNIA: Six Colton High School football players are
suing their school district and their athletic trainer, alleging
she sexually abused and raped them in the 2000s. The six
anonymous men, identified as John Does, claim their coach,
Tiffany Gordon, raped them while they played football between
2000 and 2007. According to the Daily Mail, Doe 7042, one of the
six anonymous John Does, had claimed the abuse was so egregious
that Gordon's father, Harold Strauss, the athletic director at
the time, even walked in on her raping him in the school locker
room on Halloween 2007.

Speaking to Los Angeles Times about how he and one of her
victims frequently needed rides home or money for food, John Doe
7042, said, "I think the fact that we were a bunch of poor kids,
nobody had the thought to protect us outside the football
field." When Strauss reportedly asked his daughter why they were
in the locker room with the lights off, she reportedly replied
that they were "just closing up and leaving," according to Doe
7042. Gordon assisted her father as the athletic trainer before
taking the position of athletic director at Grand Terrace High
School.

Harold Strauss, the late gridiron coach of the Yellowjackets, is
credited with assisting numerous high school football players in
making the transition to the professional game. While her father
was the team's coach, the daughter worked as a trainer.
According to the lawsuit, Coach Strauss once interrupted an
alleged sexual assault while Tiffany Strauss-Gordon and a player
were in a locker room. "When Coach Strauss made his way through
the locker room, he confronted the two and asked why the lights
were off. Gordon made excuses claiming they were closing up and
leaving," CBS LOS ANGELES reported, citing legal papers.

The sexual abuse of the minors occurred all over campus,
according to a lawyer for the six athletes who are suing Strauss-
Gordon and the Colton school district. "That would include the
locker room for the varsity football players, training rooms,
weight rooms, classrooms, bathrooms, in vans to football-related
events and at a few homes," lawyer Brian Williams stated. He
told the news outlet that the trainer's actions were called
"Tiffany's special treatment" by the coaches, who made fun of
them.

According to the East Bay Times, Strauss-Gordon is accused of
acting inappropriately with players between the ages of 14 and
17, between the years of 2001 and 2007. According to the
lawsuit, she allegedly had sex with the teen boys and gave them
oral sex. "The sheer volume of oral copulation and sexual
intercourse occurring between Gordon and the minor student-
athletes was not insignificant, and Defendants knew or should
have known of the blatant sexual misconduct occurring," the
lawsuit stated, according to the outlet.

The Colton school district is "very concerned" about the
lawsuit's allegations. Gordan, who oversees athletics at another
district school, has reportedly been placed on administrative
leave, according to the school system. The school said to the
East Bay Times, "Although the current administrative team
members were not in leadership roles with the District 20 years
ago, the district leadership team is extremely concerned about
the allegations being made." The school added, "Our commitment
is always to the safety and well-being of our students,
families, and staff, and we will work with local law enforcement
to protect our community and lend our support to any victims in
this case."

Gordan's father, Harold Strauss died in 2019 after 30 years as a
coach at various programs. According to one ex-player who is a
part of the lawsuit, Strauss was a legendary figure and the most
influential person in the Colton school district.

A former California high school football player accusing a
female athletic trainer of raping him in the early 2000s said
she preyed on vulnerable students who were poor and in need of
help.

'I think the fact that we were a bunch of poor kids, nobody had
the thought to protect us outside the football field,' a man
only identified as John Doe 7042 told the Los Angeles Times,
describing how he and man of her victims often needed rides home
or money for food.

Doe 7042 is just one of six anonymous John Does who suing Colton
High's Tiffany Gordon, who they say raped them while they played
on the football team between 2000 and 2007.

Doe 7042 said the abuse was so flagrant that Gordon's father -
then head football couch and athletic director Harold Strauss -
even walked in on them while she was raping him in the school
locker room on Halloween in 2007.

Doe 7042 said Strauss asked his daughter why they were in the
locker room with the lights off, and she responded they were
'just closing up and leaving.'

The lawsuit claims other members of the football team, players'
parents and school staff were aware of Gordon's misconduct while
the school district failed to report or investigate claims
brought to them.

Gordon worked as the athletic trainer under her father before
she became the athletic director at Grand Terrace High School.

John Doe 7045 claims he told one coach about him and another
student being abused and their plans to report it to the
district. The coach's wife then suggested this would not be
successful.

The lawsuit says the school district first became aware of
allegations against Gordon between 2002 and 2006.

'Despite rampant rumors surrounding Gordon's misconduct, (the
school district) knowingly, intentionally, willfully,
deliberately, negligently, and/or recklessly allowed Gordon to
continue abusing Colton High School's varsity football players,
including plaintiffs,' the lawsuit reads.

'In doing so, defendants fostered a pervasive and hostile
environment that utterly disregarded the rights and safety of
minor athletes who were entrusted to (the district).'

The Colton Joint Unified School District (CJUSD) said in a
statement that 'although the current administrative team members
were not in leadership roles with the district 20 years ago, the
district leadership team is extremely concerned about the
allegations being made.'

'Our commitment is always to the safety and well-being of our
students, families and staff, and we will work with local law
enforcement to protect our community and lend our support to any
victims in this case.'

The football players were able to report these allegations
because of Assembly Bill 218, which took effect January 1 to
provide alleged victims an extended statute of limitations for
civil claims.

'This important law gives survivors of sexual abuse an
opportunity to be heard and a chance to heal,' said Brian
Williams, the attorney representing the former athletes.

John Doe 7043 transferred to the school during his senior year
in 2003. While on the football team, he says Gordon made
advances on him while inviting him to a drive-in theater date in
which she sexually abused him in the back seat of the car.

John Doe 7047 joined the team as a sophomore in 2000 and alleges
Gordon first raped him when he was 16 and that she continued to
do so throughout his high school career.

After joining the varsity football team in 2001, John Doe 7042
said he was sexually assaulted by Gordon while he was treated
for injuries suffered while he played football.

His abuse continued to escalate throughout his time at the
school as he was then allegedly raped by Gordon in the school's
locker room, in bathrooms, in the school's weight room and in a
trailer.

While hearing rumors about Gordon's sexual abuse as a freshman,
John Doe 7044 says he confronted the athletic trainer, who then
allegedly told him to send her nude photographs of himself.

She sexually assaulted him the next day and continued until he
cut contact with her.

'They really could've stopped it at any time,' he told the LA
Times.

'Everybody knew from when I stepped foot on Colton High that it
was a rumor, so at the very least, they could've seen what this
rumor was about. At no point did they ever step in to stop it.'

Through the years of sexual abuse, the players said Gordon's
actions were perceived as 'normal, and even lauded' because of
how the coaches responded to the rumors.

They added that the abuse has 'significantly affected and shaped
the students' perceptions of intimacy, relationships and
responsibilities at a young and impressionable age.

Gordon, who has been placed on administrative leave, did not
respond immediately to a request for comment from DailyMail.com.

The school district said it has made itself 'completely
available' to the Colton Police Department in its investigation.

Athletic trainer and daughter of High School football legend
Tiffany Strauss-Gordon is in some deep sh*** as she’s been
accused of s*xual abuse in a recently filed lawsuit.

The DM got details of the lawsuit;

A group of ex-Colton High School football stars claim the
alleged s*xual abuse by high school trainer Tiffany Strauss-
Gordon persisted even though coaches with the program were
suspicious of her behavior, the lawsuit argues.

An attorney for the six players suing Strauss-Gordon and the
Colton school system told CBS Los Angeles the s*xual abuse of
the minors took place all over campus.

“That would include the locker room for the varsity football

confronted the two and asked why the lights were off. Gordon
made excuses claiming they were closing up and leaving,” CBS LA
reported, citing legal papers.

Williams told the news station that coaches joked about the

Strauss-Gordon’s alleged inappropriate behavior connected to the
legal action took place from 2001 to 2007 with players whose
ages ranged from 14 to 17, the East Bay Times reported. The
lawsuit reportedly claims she had s*xual intercourse with and
gave oral s*x to the teen boys.

“The sheer volume of oral copulation and s*xual intercourse

Strauss-Gordon additionally s*xually pleasured coaches, the suit
alleges. One photo from 2005, which spread among players, even
showed her giving oral s*x to a coach, the East Bay Times
reported, citing the lawsuit.

Harold Strauss died in 2019 after 30 years of coaching at

He was a larger-than-life figure and the most powerful person in
the Colton school district, one ex-player, who is part of the

district reportedly said.

leadership roles with the District 20 years ago, the district
leadership team is extremely concerned about the allegations
being made,” the school told the East Bay Times.

“Our commitment is always to the safety and well-being of our
students, families and staff, and we will work with local law
enforcement to protect our community and lend our support to any
victims in this case.”

An attorney representing Strauss-Gordon if she faces a criminal
charge stressed to the Los Angeles Times that no charges have
been filed against her.

Lawyer Paul Wallin said that after she’s been involved with
students for more than two decades, “no allegations of
wrongdoing [have] ever been brought in all that time by any
student.”

COLTON, Calif. (WKRC) - An athletic trainer in California has
been accused of sexually abusing players on a high school
football team.

Six former varsity players recently filed a lawsuit against
Tiffany Strauss-Gordon, claiming that she abused them while she
was a trainer for the team at Colton High School between 2002
and 2006.

Strauss-Gordon's father, Harold Strauss, was the head football
coach there for several years.

The lawsuit states that Strauss-Gordon would have inappropriate
sexual conduct with the students, ages 14-17, in locker rooms,
training rooms, weight rooms, classrooms, bathrooms, homes, and
even in vans on the way to team events.

It says she would perform oral sex on the teens as well as have
intercourse with them, which the students would apparently call
getting "spatted" -- referring to when a trainer tapes a
football player's shoes to prevent ankle sprains.

According to the plaintiffs, the abuse was common knowledge
among the players, their parents, and school staff, but no one
spoke up.

One of the men alleges that Strauss-Gordon, who has not been
criminally charged, was targeting students from low-income
families who often needed money for food or transportation.

"I think the fact that we were a bunch of poor kids, nobody had
the thought to protect us outside the football field," he said.

According to The Los Angeles Times, school officials confirmed
Strauss-Gordon has taken a leave of absence.

She has retained legal counsel in case criminal charges are
brought.

"Our client has no criminal record of any nature and has been
athletic director involved with students for over two decades
with no allegations of wrongdoing ever been brought in all that
time by any student," one of her attorney said in a statement.

All Democrat coach daughters are wigger whores.
In the spring of 2004, a Colton High School football player and
track athlete was getting taped by Tiffany Gordon, the school’s
athletic trainer in the locker room for a meet later that day.

Gordon flirted with the athlete, who was 16 at the time, and
then she placed his hand on her breast, the player said in an
interview with the Southern California News Group and according
to a court filing obtained by the SCNG.

Gordon was wearing a black t-shirt that celebrated Colton High’s
title-winning football season the previous fall. The back of the
shirt listed the Yellowjackets’ victories in the school’s
colors, crimson and gold. The front of the shirt featured four
menacing looking players.

“Want Some?” the shirt read above the players.

“Come Get Some” the shirt said below the image.

“I want some,” the player recalled joking to Gordon.

“Then come get some,” Gordon said before she leaned over and
began kissing the player, according to the interview and court
filing.

“I walked away (thinking), ‘What the hell just happened?’” the
player recalled in the interview.

The next day, Gordon, the daughter of legendary Colton High
football coach Harold Strauss, texted the player, referred to in
court documents as John Doe 7068 and invited him to meet her at
a relative’s home she was housesitting where Gordon had sexual
intercourse with him for the first time, according to the
interview and the filing.

“That was the first time I had sex,” John Doe 7068 said in an
interview. “I actually lost my virginity that night.”

John Doe 7068 is one of three former Colton High School players
who allege in a lawsuit filed against Gordon and the Colton
Joint Unified School District in San Bernardino Superior Court
that Gordon routinely engaged in sexual misconduct with them
throughout their high school football careers covering a period
from 2001 to 2009.

“She was still working for the Colton school district, knowing
what I’ve been dealing with with my own self right now and
knowing this is part of some of the things that have formed in
me, I don’t want that to happen to anybody and looking back
right now I’m disgusted,” John Doe 7068 said in his interview
with the SCNG, referring to Gordon, who is now the athletic
director at Grand Terrace High School in the CJUSD. “I have four
kids and if one of my kids was in that situation I’d be furious.
So I knew she was still in the school district, that was one of
the big deals. I want to make sure that she doesn’t have access
to children anymore.

“I need to stop this.”

The suit follows a similar suit filed against Gordon and the
CJUSD in September on behalf of six former Colton players who
said Gordon sexually assaulted, abused and molested them with
the knowledge of Harold Strauss and other Yellowjackets coaches
over a six-year period between 2001 and 2007.

In a series of interviews with SCNG and in court documents the
six players allege that Gordon had sexual intercourse with and
performed oral sex on players who were between the ages of 14
and 17 in the school’s locker room, training room, bathrooms,
weight room and football trailer as well as at her parents’
house during weekly meetings between the coaches and top
players. One player alleged in an interview and the lawsuit that
Gordon had sex with him at least 50 times during his senior year
at Colton High, when he was 17.

“The amount of sexual abuse that took place at Colton High
School is truly alarming,” said Brian Williams, an attorney for
the players. “As more and more survivors come forward, the full
extent of the institutional failures that enabled this systemic
abuse becomes more obvious. School leadership had an obligation
to educate and safeguard these students, but wholly failed to
accomplish these fundamental tasks.”

Gordon is currently on a leave of absence, a school official
said. The CJUSD declined to say when Gordon was placed on leave
or whether she is being paid while on leave.

Gordon has not responded to multiple requests for comment.
Gordon has been interviewed by the Colton Police Department,
according to Paul Wallin, Gordon’s criminal defense attorney.

“My client vehemently denies any and all allegations that she
sexually assaulted any students in any way,” said Wallin, who
represents California Teachers Association members who have been
accused of sexual misconduct. “As of this time no criminal
charges have been filed.

“If the allegations were taken seriously (by law enforcement)
why have no criminal charges been filed?”

But under California law, charges for misdemeanor statutory rape
must be filed within one year, three years for felony statutory
rape.

“Let’s put it this way – if that’s what the prosecuting attorney
believes, fantastic,” Wallin said.

The CJUSD has hired a Sacramento law firm to conduct an
investigation into the allegations against Gordon. It is the
same law firm that Mater Dei hired last year to investigate
allegations of bullying and other misconduct within the school’s
football and athletic programs.

“The sheer number of survivors coming forward with allegations
of sexual abuse by this woman indicates a public safety
nightmare for students of a magnitude that the Inland Empire has
never seen,” Michael Reck, an attorney for the players, said.
“Officials could have and should have reported this to law
enforcement long ago and these children could have been spared.”

In response to a series of questions this week from the SCNG,
including whether the district is aware of any allegations of
sexual misconduct by Gordon during her tenure at Grand Terrace
High School, a CJUSD spokesperson said in a statement, “We have
been in contact with the Colton Police Department regarding
their investigation and continue to be partners with them in
this matter. Because this is still in the investigatory phase,
we have not been given clearance to provide further information
at this time.”

Harold Strauss died in December 2019 at the age of 60.

SCNG does not name the survivors of sexual abuse.

The lawsuit was filed within the three-year window created by
Assembly Bill 218, which was signed into law by Gov. Gavin
Newsom in 2019 and went into effect January 1, 2020.

Under the new law, alleged survivors have a three-year period to
file past claims that had expired under the state’s statute of
limitations. That three-year window closes on December 31.

Alleged survivors must file civil suits within eight years of
becoming an adult or three years from the date an adult survivor
“discovers” or should have discovered they were sexually abused,
under current California law.

Under Harold Strauss, Colton High School’s football program
gained a national reputation as a pipeline to schools in the so-
called Power 5 conferences and the NFL. Six players from Colton,
a school with less than 2,000 students, were on NFL rosters
during both the 2014 and 2015 seasons. A year later, 10 former
Colton players were invited to NFL training camps. Colton’s 2005
roster included six future NFL players.

But within the Yellowjackets program, there was rampant talk
amongst players and coaches about Gordon’s alleged routine
sexual abuse of Colton players as young as 14, according to
interviews with former players and the two lawsuits.

“The number of people who have now come forward is nothing short
of astonishing,” said Jemma Dunn, an attorney for the players.
“Only a complete and utter lack of oversight could facilitate
this level of pervasive abuse.”

Tiffany Gordon joined her father at Colton shortly after he took
over as head coach in 2000. A year later, John Doe 7068, then a
14-year-old freshman, alleges that Gordon began grooming him by
placing his hands on her breasts and began massaging his body
“under the guise of providing medical treatment and physical
therapy,” according to the suit. In the spring of 2004, Gordon
began having sexual intercourse and performing oral sex on the
player on a regular basis on the Colton campus and in private
homes, according to the former player and the lawsuit.

The former player described his interaction with Gordon as
“completely transactional.”

“There was no emotion whatsoever,” he said. “I only talked to
her for two things, it was either I got to get something in
working order so I can get back on the field or sex. That was
the relationship. There was nothing else besides that. It wasn’t
uncommon not to talk for days or weeks.

“When I lost my virginity, I didn’t talk to her for a week after
that.”

Eventually, John Doe 7068 said, he “emotionally shut down.”

“I lost my virginity to her and I learned what sex was by
actually having it and not being taught about it,” John Doe 7068
said. “I learned it was not an emotional connection. It was
something that was separate from that. I learned that you could
talk to someone only for that. There didn’t have to be any other
foundation or work or anything of that regard. It damaged your
ability to grow close to someone or even be emotionally
vulnerable to somebody.

“And I didn’t really realize why I was that way and why I was so
closed off emotionally and I do think this has a really big
impact on my ability to separate those worlds and also foster an
unrealistic expectation toward a partner. “I (developed) this
appetite for an unrealistic view of (sex).

“It took me a few years to realize what that was.”

That realization only came in a recent therapy session, John Doe
7068 said, when he mentioned to his therapist that he lost his
virginity when he was 16 to a woman roughly 10 years older than
him.

“And (the therapist) said, ‘Whoa!! Hold on. Let’s not just
breeze by that. Hold on just don’t just pass by it,’” John Doe
7068 said. “Then it took on a very different light to me. It
made me realize why I had such a disconnect.”

John Doe 7069 said he heard widespread rumors during his
freshman season in 2001 of Gordon’s alleged sexual misconduct
with Yellow Jackets players, specifically during a team trip to
Oregon.

A former Colton player, identified in court filings as John 7042
said in an interview with SCNG and in the initial lawsuit
against the school district and former trainer that he was
sleeping in a van carrying him and his teammates to a football
camp in Oregon when he awoke to find Gordon performing oral sex
on him.

“I woke up shocked,” he said.

But if his teammates noticed no one said anything.

“It wasn’t out of the ordinary,” Doe 7042 said.

During his sophomore year, John Doe 7069 said Gordon “always
placed his foot between or onto her breasts” while taping his
legs, according to the suit. Gordon later performed oral sex on
John Doe 7069 twice at school, according to the court filing.

A third former Colton player, John Doe 7070, also said that
during his freshman season in 2006, Gordon also began placing
his “feet on her breasts when she massaged his legs, and also
moved his hands to her breasts,” according to the court filing.

“On one occasion, Gordon was taping John Doe 7070’s feet and
began groping him over his shorts,” the lawsuit said. “She
pulled his penis out of his shorts and commented on its
appearance. Gordon then began to orally copulate John Doe 7070.
He was only 15 years old. Gordon fondled, groped, and orally
copulated John Doe 7070 while he was a minor on numerous
occasions.”

John Doe 7070 transferred to another school during his sophomore
year but returned to Colton as a junior at which time, according
to the lawsuit, Gordon “continued her sexual assaults, including
fondling, groping, and oral copulation” of him.

On Friday, September 30, former students and footballers from
Colton High School filed a lawsuit against their then athletic
trainer, Tiffany Strauss-Gordon, for s*xually assaulting them
for almost a decade. Six former San Bernardino County players
have also sued the Colton Joint Unified School District for
being complicit in the continued abuse.

The former players, who have referred to themselves as John
Does, alleged that between 2000 and 2007, Tiffany Strauss-Gordon
repeatedly r*ped and assaulted them. Gordon, who is the daughter
of late high school football legend Harold Strauss, worked as an
athletic trainer under her father, who was the coach.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the lawsuit against Tiffany
Strauss-Gordon claims that other members of the football team,
the player's parents, the school staff and even Harold Strauss
himself were all aware of Gordon's assault. The school district,
however, failed to report or investigate claims brought against
them by the victims.

The school district was allegedly notified of Gordon's behavior
as early as 2002. One of the victims, who identified himself as
John Doe 7045 claimed that he and another student were told by a
coach's wife that their plans to report the s*xual assault to
the district would be unsuccessful.

According to the Daily Mail, the lawsuit states:

"Despite rampant rumors surrounding Gordon's misconduct, [the
school district] knowingly, intentionally, willfully,
deliberately, negligently, and/or recklessly allowed Gordon to
continue abusing Colton High School's varsity football players,
including plaintiffs."

The former players reported the assault under Assembly Bill 218
which allows alleged victims an extended statute of limitations
for civil claims. Colton Joint Unified School stated that they
are "concerned" about the allegations made. They told the East
Bay Times:

"Although the current administrative team members are not in the
leadership member with the district for 20 years...[the district
leadership team] is very concerned about the allegations."

The daughter of a California high school football coaching icon
has been accused of sexually abusing several football players
between 2002 and 2006, when she was the trainer for the team.

A recently-filed lawsuit obtained by PEOPLE alleges Tiffany
Strauss-Gordon abused six varsity football players while she was
the trainer at Colton High School.

Strauss-Gordon is the daughter of the late Harold Strauss, who,
for years, served as the head coach for the school's
Yellowjackets football team.

Strauss-Gordon, who has not been criminally charged, began
working for the district around 2001. She was most recently the
athletic director at Grand Terrace High School.

The Los Angeles Times reports that school officials in Grand
Terrace confirmed Strauss-Gordon was on a leave of absence.

The lawsuit further alleges that Strauss, other players, their
parents, and officials at Colton High School were all aware of
the "special treatment" Strauss-Gordon is alleged to have
extended to the team's star players, but looked the other way.
PEOPLE reached out to the school and did not immediately receive
a response.

The suit alleges that Strauss-Gordon performed oral sex and had
sexual intercourse with the players — a practice students had
dubbed "getting spatted," referencing the way trainers tape a
football player's shoes to prevent ankle sprains.

The six players, all in their 30s now, were between the ages of
14 and 17 at the time of the alleged abuse.

The lawsuit alleges the abuse unfolded inside the varsity
players' locker room as well as in training rooms, weight rooms,
classrooms, bathrooms, homes and in vans to football-related
events.

PEOPLE's free True Crime newsletter for breaking crime news,

Additionally, the lawsuit alleges students widely shared a
picture allegedly depicting Strauss-Gordon performing oral sex
on one of the team's coaches.

One of the plaintiffs, identified as "John Doe 7044," alleges in
the suit that Strauss-Gordon specifically targeted him and the
other alleged victims because they were from low income
families, and often needed rides or food money.

"I think the fact that we were a bunch of poor kids, nobody had
the thought to protect us outside the football field," he said,
according to the suit.

Paul Wallin, one of the attorneys retained by Strauss-Gordon in
the event she faces criminal charges, spoke to the Los Angeles
Times.

"Our client has no criminal record of any nature and has been
athletic director involved with students for over two decades
with no allegations of wrongdoing ever been brought in all that
time by any student," Wallin told the paper.

PEOPLE was unable to reach Strauss-Gordon for comment Thursday.

All Democrat coach daughters are whores.
Former player alleges current Grand Terrace Athletic Director
Tiffany Gordon began sexually abusing him shortly after her
father, Harold Strauss, was hired in 2000

Near the end of the 2000 football season, a Colton High School
freshman team coach approached one of the varsity’s standout
players in the school’s football facility.

“Is it true?” the coach asked, according to the player.

“What?” the player responded.

“Is it true you’re doing Coach’s daughter?” the coach answered,
using a slang term for sexual intercourse, the player said.

“Yep,” the player said.

“And he was like ‘Damn!’ and walked away laughing,” the player
recalled.

The coach the assistant was referring to was Colton varsity head
coach Harold Strauss, then in his first season of a career that
would make him a revered figure in the community as the
architect of what has been described as Colton’s pipeline to the
National Football League.

His daughter is Tiffany Gordon, then Colton’s athletic trainer
and currently the athletic director at Grand Terrace High School
in the Colton Joint Unified School District.

The player is the first known alleged victim who Gordon sexually
assaulted, abused and molested with the knowledge of Harold
Strauss and other Yellowjacket coaches between 2000 and 2007,
according to court filings obtained by the Southern California
News Group.

In a series of interviews with SCNG and in court documents, 10
former Colton players allege that Gordon had sexual intercourse
with and performed oral sex on players who were between the ages
of 14 and 17 in the school’s locker room, training room,
bathrooms, weight room and football trailer as well as at her
parents’ house during weekly meetings between the coaches and
top players. One player alleged in an interview and the lawsuit
that Gordon had sex with him at least 50 times during his senior
year at Colton High, when he was 17.

In a lawsuit filed against Gordon and the CJUSD in San
Bernardino Superior Court on Friday and in an interview with
SCNG, the former player, identified as John Doe 7079 in court
filings, said he was sexually assaulted shortly after Strauss
and Gordon arrived on the Colton campus prior to the 2000
season. This began a three-month period in which Gordon
continued to sexually assault the player, then 17, at “Captains’
Dinners” for team leaders at Harold Strauss’ home, on a football-
related trip and in Gordon’s car while it was parked on the
Colton campus and other sites around Colton and Grand Terrace.

“What happened at Colton is simply inexcusable,” said Jemma E.
Dunn, an attorney for the former players. “The sheer number of
people who have come forward about Tiffany Gordon’s rampant
sexual misconduct demonstrates a systemic issue within the
football program and at the District.”

In an interview this week, John Doe 7079 was asked if he
struggled coming forward.

“Absolutely,” he said. “I don’t want to do this. I feel like I’m
the beginning. And the timeline of what I’ve seen of what
happened is horrifying and disgusting and it started with me.
And I’m a little afraid of, I think people are going to know
exactly who this is, but I live far away from there but I feel
like it needs to be said. This happened the moment she stepped
on campus and was only allowed to keep going and building and
get worse and then was promoted and who knows? And kind of
horrifying there’s probably more. Like we don’t know.”

He said he has never discussed Gordon’s alleged abuse with his
family – “My parents to this day still don’t know or won’t talk
about it” – but said he is coming forward in part to try to
change a pervasive attitude in sports culture where sexual
relations between older female coaches, trainers or teacher and
younger male players and students are often not seen as sexual
abuse but a rite of passage or source of pride for the boys. As
a result, the survivors are frequently viewed as heroes instead
of victims.

“These football programs need to see that these gender roles
don’t matter anymore,” John Doe 7079 said. “I’m just ready to be
a part of that, a change.

“This makes me so anxious just talking about this right now.”

Gordon is currently on a leave of absence, a school official
said. The CJUSD declined to say when Gordon was placed on leave
or whether she is being paid while on leave.

Gordon has not responded to multiple requests for comment. Her
attorney also did not respond to a request for comment. Gordon
has been interviewed by the Colton Police Department, according
to Paul Wallin, Gordon’s criminal defense attorney, and
previously confirmed to SCNG.

The CJUSD has hired a Sacramento law firm to conduct an
investigation into the allegations against Gordon. It is the
same law firm Mater Dei hired last year to investigate
allegations of bullying and other misconduct within the school’s
football and athletic programs.

“From the moment the District was presented with the
allegations, we immediately took decisive action by placing the
party in question on administrative leave, as well as contacting
the Colton Police Department,” the CJUSD said in a statement to
SCNG. “The District has made itself, and will continue to make
itself, completely available to the Colton Police Department.
The District is committed to ensuring that law enforcement has
access to all of the facts and information for their
investigation.

“Although the current administrative team members were not in
leadership roles with the District 20 years ago, the district
leadership team is extremely concerned about the allegations
being made. Our commitment is always to the safety and well-
being of our students, families and staff, and we will work with
local law enforcement to protect our community and lend our
support to any victims in this case.”

Harold Strauss died in December 2019 at the age of 60.

SCNG does not name the survivors of sexual abuse.

Harold Strauss was hired at Colton in the spring of 2000 after
spending two seasons coaching in Colton, Oregon. Strauss was
already well known in the Inland Empire, having coached
Bloomington Christian to six CIF title games, winning twice.

In his return to Southern California, Colton gained a national
reputation for sending Yellowjacket players to Power 5 college
programs and the NFL. Six players from Colton, a school with
less than 2,000 students, were on NFL rosters during the 2014
and 2015 seasons. A year later, 10 former Colton players were
invited to NFL training camps. Colton’s 2005 roster included six
future NFL players.

John Doe 7079 remembers Harold Strauss and Tiffany visiting the
Colton campus in April 2000. She was also at his side when the
Yellowjackets opened practice the following August.

“As the daughter of Colton High School’s highly influential and
prominent Head Coach and Athletic Director, Harold Strauss,
Gordon used her authority and role as the team’s trainer to gain
access to Plaintiff and numerous other student-athletes,”
attorneys for John Doe 7079 write in the most recent court
filing. “She took advantage of her position of influence,
authority, and power – given to her by CJUSD – to develop the
players’ trust and then to sexually assault, harass, and molest
them.

“Knowledge of Gordon’s misconduct with minors spread throughout
the football team, the players’ parents, and the team’s staff.
Despite rampant rumors surrounding Gordon’s misconduct, CJUSD
knowingly, intentionally, willfully, deliberately, negligently,
and/or recklessly allowed Gordon to continue working at the
school when she abused Colton High School’s varsity football
players. In doing so, Defendants fostered a pervasive and
hostile environment that utterly disregarded the rights and
safety of minor athletes who were entrusted to CJUSD. As a
result of CJUSD’s failure to even do the bare minimum – report
and investigate instances of sexual misconduct with minors –
Plaintiff and numerous other student-athletes suffered
humiliation, shame, guilt, and embarrassment as a result of the
system of abuse.

“Despite the extensive and pervasive abuse of these minor
students by Gordon, CJUSD not only continued to employ Gordon,
but even promoted her to Athletic Director at Grand Terrace High
School – another high school within its district. Thus, rather
than report or investigate the rampant sexual abuse of minors by
Gordon, CJUSD chose to reward it. In doing so, CJUSD thereby
emboldened her authority, ratified her conduct, and allowed her
to gain further access to other minors, solely for the
satisfaction of Gordon’s own prurient sexual desires.”

John Doe 7079 said Gordon performed oral sex on him in her car
early in the 2000 season. He said he was a virgin when Gordon
had sexual intercourse with him at Harold Strauss’ home after
the coach and his family hosted a “Captain’s Dinner.” Other
former Colton players have also alleged that Gordon had sex with
them during or after “Captain’s Dinners” at the Strauss home.

Gordon began having sex with John Doe 7079 on a regular basis,
the former player said, on Colton High School grounds. He
recalled sneaking out of his family home at night to meet Gordon
and have sex with her in nearby cul de sacs and “a construction
site building future sub-prime housing crash houses in Grand
Terrace.”

They also continued to have sex at the Strauss home.

“One moment that really stands out is I was leaving their
house,” John Doe 7079 said, “Tiffany was taking me home at like
1 in the morning, 2 in the morning, Coach Strauss, I encountered
him at the bottom of the stairs going to the front door and it
was very obvious, it was 2 in the morning or such and he said
‘Hey, (players name), I’ll see you in the morning’ or something
to that effect or ‘I’ll see you tomorrow.’ And at that moment I
was like ‘OK, the jig is up.’ Like you do know about this and
no, nothing really came of it.”

He was asked if Strauss ever said anything to him about the
encounter after that night or took any action?

“No,” the former player said. “Nobody did.”

Another former Colton player alleged in an interview and a
lawsuit filed earlier this year that Gordon was performing oral
sex on him in the locker room with the lights off on Halloween
2007 when Strauss entered the room.

“When Coach Strauss made his way through the locker room, he
confronted the two and asked why the lights were off,” the suit
said. “Gordon made excuses, claiming they were just cleaning up
and leaving.”

John Doe 7079 said he told Gordon he wouldn’t see her again
after the incident with the freshman coach.

“It’s like more of a slap on the back and then, ‘Holy
(expletive), man, are you all right? This is horrible and
(let’s) figure something out,’” he said recalling the freshman
coach’s reaction to his acknowledging Gordon had had sex with
him.

“‘All right, we need to be done,” John Doe 7079 recalled
thinking. “This is, you could feel people knew. People in the
program knew and the shame kind of builds, right? And it feels
like this could filter into my friends who aren’t on the
football team or teachers. The shame builds, right? It builds
and builds and builds and I’m pretty good at burying stuff. So
yep, we’re done here.

“I wanted to be a high school student and I was kind of living a
double life there and having this sexual relationship with this
person within the confines of this football program and trying
to have friends that were my age. Even a relationship with
another person. So the shame and the kind of embarrassment and
all that stuff was building as we went along. As football was
over, I was like, ‘I have to stop this.’ I had to get out.

“It was gross, it’s not normal and not OK.”

He told Gordon it was over on the day Yellowjacket players
cleaned out their football lockers.

“Leave me alone,” he recalled telling Gordon. “It was a rainy
day, one of the few. And that was it.”

He soon felt estranged from Strauss and the football program. He
thought he was good enough to play college football, but after
the break with Gordon, no one at Colton showed any interest in
helping him contact college recruiters. He lost interest in
school.

“Felt like it was pretty widespread, that everybody knew and
that caused me to have no contact with the football program,”
John Doe 7079 said, referring to awareness at the school about
Gordon having sex with him. “Coach Strauss, there was no
communication, my football life and whatever college prospects
and any powerhouse football things that followed, I definitely
wasn’t a part of. I was kind of done at that point.

“To be quite honest with you, they had portrayed themselves as
this Christian family and stuff like that and it all just felt
like bull (expletive),” he continued, referring to the Strauss
family. “You know it’s wrong. You’re a kid, it did come up when
we were kids, but I didn’t want it to be known and I wasn’t
super interested in school, ACT, SAT. I wanted to get away. I
wanted to grow up and go away and that’s what I did. School
stopped being school. It was like I’m somehow an adult now
because I was with an adult and acting like an adult, or I think
I am and now they don’t like me and I’m not supposed to be
around. It changed for sure.”

He worked for a while after high school before joining a friend
at a community college in the midwest and then graduating from a
four-year college in the region.

Today, he is a teacher and coach in the Midwest.

“Now I’m an actual teacher and in charge of young people and
it’s even more kind of sickening, what happened and thinking
about what happened after me and finding out what has happened
since me,” he said. “I coach. I’m in charge of young people and
families trust me and the people that are around me as teachers
to take care of them. Sometimes I can’t believe like it
happened. I can’t believe that it went on and it kept going and
it’s a part of my story and it’s really unfortunate.”

????????: Another #IE female school faculty member/athletic
trainer has been accused of willingly being ran thru for years
by football players at #ColtonHighSchool ????????

"The daughter of a legendary high school coach is accused of
sexually abusing several former Colton High School football
players during her time as the team's athletic trainer.

"It took place basically everywhere within Colton High School,"
said the football players' attorney Brian Williams. "That would
include the locker room for the varsity football players,
training rooms, weight rooms, classrooms, bathrooms, in vans to
football-related events and at a few homes."

Tiffany Strauss Gordon is accused of sexually abusing six
teenagers decades ago. A lawsuit was filed against Strauss-
Gordon and the Colton Joint Unified School District by the
alleged victims from San Bernardino who are now in their 30s.

The victims claim their now deceased coach Harold Strauss — a
legend in football circles — and other staff were aware of the
red flags of the sexual abuse.

One time, the lawsuit states, Strauss-Gordon disappeared with a
player at her father's home after a team dinner and engaged in a
sex act. Gordon's misconduct was not a secret and the abuse
allegedly lasted for years, according to the victims' lawyer.

Another alleged instance of sexual abuse happened inside the
locker room.

Williams said that rather than doing something about the sexual
assaults, coaches made jokes about Gordon's behavior calling it
"Tiffany's special treatment." · (credit: @cbsla)

All Democrat coach daughters are whores.
At first he dismissed the talk as just rumors, the wishful
thinking of high school football players and their raging
hormones and overactive teenage imaginations.

It was fall 2005 and the player had just worked his way into the
starting lineup at Colton High School when he began to hear his
teammates talk about standout players receiving “special
treatment” of a sexual nature from the school’s athletic trainer
Tiffany Gordon, the daughter of the Yellowjackets legendary head
coach Harold Strauss, the architect of what has been described
as Colton’s pipeline to the National Football League.

The players, according to court filings and interviews, even had
a name for the practice: “getting spatted.”

A season later the player, by now one of the area’s top college
prospects, was in the school’s training room waiting for Gordon
to treat a leg injury.

“Are you ready to be a superstar?” Gordon asked as she massaged
his leg, according to court documents.

She then proceeded to fondle his genitals, according to a court
filing.

The player was 16 at the time.

In a series of interviews with the Southern California News
Group and a lawsuit filed against Gordon and the Colton Joint
Unified School District in San Bernardino County Superior Court,
six former Colton players allege Gordon sexually assaulted,
abused and molested them with the knowledge of Strauss and other
Yellowjackets coaches over a six-year period between 2001 and
2007.

The interviews and court filing detail allegations of how Gordon
routinely had sexual intercourse with and performed oral sex on
players who were between the ages of 14 and 17 in the school’s
locker room, training room, bathrooms, weight room and football
trailer as well as at her parents’ house during weekly meetings
between the coaches and top players. One player alleged in an
interview and the lawsuit that Gordon had sex with him at least
50 times during his senior year at Colton High, when he was 17.

UPDATE: 3 more former Colton players come forward allegine
sexual misconduct

“The sheer volume of oral copulation and sexual intercourse
occurring between Gordon and the minor student-athletes was not
insignificant, and Defendants knew or should have known of the
blatant sexual misconduct occurring between Gordon and” the
players, the suit alleges.

A former player, referred to in the lawsuit at John Doe 7044,
recounted in an interview and a court filing how a Colton
assistant coach walked into the school’s locker room while
Gordon was performing oral sex on the player.

“This coach did not stop the assault but rather, immediately
left the room,” the lawsuit alleges.

Gordon was performing oral sex on a player identified as John
Doe 7046 in the locker room with the lights off on Halloween
2007 when Strauss entered the room, according to interviews and
the lawsuit.

“When Coach Strauss made his way through the locker room, he
confronted the two and asked why the lights were off,” the suit
said. “Gordon made excuses, claiming they were just cleaning up
and leaving.”

During the 2005 season, a photo depicting Gordon performing oral
sex on a man was widely circulated among Colton High varsity
players who believed the other person in the photo was one of
their teammates, according to the lawsuit.

“It was later determined that the photograph actually depicted
Gordon orally copulating another Colton High School coach. This
event made it clear that Gordon’s sexual misconduct was
pervasive and certainly not secretive,” according to the lawsuit.

“What happened at Colton High School is unacceptable,” said
Brian Williams, an attorney for the alleged survivors. “While at
school, students are entitled to feel safe and must be
protected. School officials have an obligation to safeguard kids
from sexual misconduct, and report any suspicious or improper
conduct. None of that occurred in this situation and the time
has come to hold those involved accountable.”

Gordon is now the athletic director at Grand Terrace High School
in the CJUSD. “She went from a place of power to more power,”
John Doe 7042 said. She is currently on a leave of absence, a
school official said. She did not respond to multiple requests
for comment. The CJUSD declined to say when Gordon was placed on
leave or whether she is being paid while on leave.

The CJUSD has hired a Sacramento law firm to conduct an
investigation into the allegations against Gordon. It is the
same law firm that Mater Dei hired last year to investigate
allegations of bullying and other misconduct within the school’s
football and athletic programs.

“From the moment the District was presented with the
allegations, we immediately took decisive action by placing the
party in question on administrative leave, as well as contacting
the Colton Police Department,” CJUSD spokesperson Katie Orlof
said in a statement. “The District has made itself, and will
continue to make itself, completely available to the Colton
Police Department. The District is committed to ensuring that
law enforcement has access to all of the facts and information
for their investigation.

Under California law charges for misdemeanor statutory rape must
be filed within one year, three-years for felony statutory rape.

SCNG does not name the survivors of sexual abuse.

The lawsuit was filed in the three-year window created by
Assembly Bill 218, which was signed into law by Gov. Gavin
Newsom in 2019 and went into effect January 1, 2020.

Under the new law, alleged survivors have a three-year period to
file past claims that had expired under the state’s statute of
limitations.

Alleged survivors must file civil suits within eight years of
becoming an adult or three years from the date an adult survivor
“discovers” or should have discovered they were sexually abused,
under current California law.

Two sets of rules
Interviews conducted earlier this month with the former Colton
players and court filings portray a football-obsessed school and
a community more concerned about success on the gridiron and a
national reputation as a launch pad to the NFL than the safety
and mental health of some of the same players who put Colton on
the radar of college coaches and pro scouts.

“They wanted our team to win titles and (expletive) and not make
waves,” a former player, referred to in the lawsuit as John Doe
7042, said in an interview.

At Colton High, the players said, there seemed to be two sets of
rules: one for Strauss, Gordon and the Yellowjackets football
program and another, far more strict, set for everyone else at
the school.

“It was like the football program was bigger than the school,”
John Doe 7044 said in an interview.

Players and coaches talked openly on an almost daily basis about
Gordon having sex with players, the former players alleged in
interviews and in the lawsuit.

The “CJUSD, through its coaching staff, knew, tolerated,
encouraged, and sanctioned Gordon’s conduct,” the suit alleges.

Coaches, like players, even joked about Gordon’s sex abuse, the
players said in interviews and court filings.

The term “spatted,” referring to the practice of taping a
player’s ankle over his shoes either for support or style, took
on a new meaning at Colton. As players and coaches lined up to
get into the training room or locker room they wisecracked that
they were waiting to get “spatted,” their word for receiving
sexual favors from Gordon, according to interviews and the
lawsuit.

John Doe 7046 recalled standing in line with an assistant coach
who cracked that the player was “getting spatted” before him,
according to the lawsuit.

“It became like a running joke,” John Doe 7044 said. “We were
not only victimized but we became the butt of a joke.”

The former players in interviews and the lawsuit also shine
light on the still pervasive, if somewhat dwindling, cultural
double standard of how the sexual abuse of underage males by
females in positions of authority is viewed differently than men
sexually abusing girls or boys.

“This is a very important story,” said David Finkelhor, director
of the Crimes Against Children Research Center at the University
of New Hampshire.

Two decades after they first encountered Gordon, the former
players said their lives continued to be impacted by what
allegedly took place in the Colton High locker and training
rooms. They have been hounded by issues with authority, trust,
sex, and intimacy. They have suffered from depression.

Some players have been resistant to having relationships with
women. Others said their views on sex and their trust issues
have undermined marriages and long term relationships. One
former player said most of his intimate relationships have been
with older women. Another former player said he was so
distrusting of authority figures in secluded settings that he
never once visited a professor in college during office hours.

“It really changed how we looked at sex,” said John Doe 7044.
“To us, this is just like a sport, we’re not connecting, just
trying to find this type of feeling.”

Most of the players said they are currently in therapy to deal
with issues related to their interactions with Gordon.

As they try to navigate their past they are frustrated by the
reactions of many of their former Colton teammates as well as
former coaches, friends and other persons close to the
Yellowjackets program. Teammates who were envious and joked
about Gordon and the players 20 years ago still continue to
fail to see the harm in a female authority figure allegedly
providing standout players sexual favors, the former players
said.

“My biggest frustration,” said John Doe 7045. “I’m tired of the
narrative of ‘Oh, you were boys, you knew what you were doing.
It’s OK.’

“It’s not OK. It’s wrong. If I’m the (athletic director) is it
OK if I do this to some girl at the school?” Doe 7045, who like
five of the players is Black, continued. “No, they would put me
under the jail.

“But because I was a boy and she was a woman it’s, ‘Oh, no big
deal.’ No, it is a big deal. It’s not OK for kids to have to go
through it.”

It is a mindset not limited to Colton, experts said.

“It is accepted by many people,” said Charol Shakeshaft, a
Virginia Commonwealth University researcher and professor, who
in 2004 published Educator Sexual Misconduct: A Synthesis of
Existing Literature for the U.S. Department of Education.

“The assumption is based on the stereotype that all boys care
about is sex and that any kind of sex is fine and then what’s
the harm? It’s what they wanted anyway and it’s based on the
stereotype of boys of hormones in overdrive and what’s the big
deal here? And the big deal is that this isn’t about sex at all.
This is about betrayal and power. And it’s about the betrayal of
a person, in this case students, by a person who has power over
them and for them, to help them. And they’re supposed to be able
to feel safe around the adults in schools and athletics and to
have these adults looking out for their best interests and this
is a betrayal of the trust they have in adults.”

The former players and their attorneys maintain in interviews
and the lawsuit the cultural acceptance at Colton High School,
especially within the football program, enabled Gordon’s alleged
predatory behavior.

“Historically, it has been easy for society to downplay the
power of a female sex assault perpetrator over boys. In reality,
we know the power of a female predator is particularly insidious
and dangerous to children,” said Mike Reck, an attorney for the
alleged survivors. “The alleged perpetrator here leveraged her
position of power over these boys to choreograph her own
depraved desires upon them. Not only did she count on the
cultural pressure on teenage boys to never turn down sex, Ms.
Strauss-Gorden was instilled with the institutional authority of
Colton High School’s athletic department and its revered
football coach, her father. She gained intimate physical access
to the boys through her position as athletic trainer and played
their innocence, their hormones, and their love of football
against them. Point blank, these boys never stood a chance and
the one adult who was most supposed to protect these athletes
most was the father of the offender.”

Harold Strauss, a massive man with an even bigger grin, was a
larger-than-life figure at Colton.

“He ran it,” John Doe 7042 said. “He ran the show. He had say
over anything and everything.”

Strauss coached high school football in Oregon and Washington
before returning to Bloomington, an unincorporated section of
San Bernardino County where he grew up. He coached 18 seasons at
Bloomington Christian winning a pair of CIF Southern Section
titles

But it was at Colton where he literally put his program on the
national map.

Season after season the Yellowjackets won running Strauss’
gimmick single wing and double wing offenses gleaned from the
decades old playbooks and Rose Bowl tapes he found online, and
with a steady stream of talent headed to Power 5 conference
schools and the NFL.

Strauss kept a map of the U.S. behind his office desk. Pins on
the map represented the places his athletes had played.

Often those pins landed in places like New York, Baltimore,
Kansas City and the NFL. Six players from Colton, a school with
less than 2,000 students, were on NFL rosters during both the
2014 and 2015 seasons. A year later, 10 former Colton players
were invited to NFL training camps. Colton’s 2005 roster
included six future NFL players.

Strauss, who died at age 60 in December 2019, once told the
Inland Empire Community News he viewed his players as family.

“Coaches are like psychologists,” he said. “You get into your
player’s lives like a parent. When they hurt, I hurt.”

But Strauss wasn’t there for the players when they needed him
most, the former players and their attorneys said.

“If the genders were reversed, the response would be undoubtedly
different,” said Jemma Dunn, an attorney for the alleged
survivors. “This is not only unfair, but fails to recognize the
damages caused and silences male survivors. These men were in
their most formative adolescent years and should have been able
to trust those in authority; both their trainer who, as an
adult, took advantage of their adolescence, and the coaches and
staff around them, who encouraged it. The law does not
distinguish between genders and neither should we. They deserved
better.”

Tiffany Gordon joined her father at Colton shortly after he took
over as head coach in 2000.

Gordon had a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Cal State San
Bernardino and a master’s in education and a teaching credential
from the University of Phoenix, according to the CJUSD.

But Gordon’s primary credential, the former players said, was
that she was Harold Strauss’ daughter.

“Tiffany really had carte blanche over the program,” John Doe
7042 said. “She had a lot of authority.”

While each child sex abuse case is unique, researchers have been
able to develop profiles of certain types of child predators.

“Some abusers we don’t know why or how are kind of hardwired to
sexual interest in children or 8-year-olds or in blondes or in
whatever and so we call those people pedophiles even though
that’s not an accurate name,” said Shakeshaft, speaking in
general. She declined to speak on the specifics of the Colton
case. “But it has to do with what their focus is.

“An opportunistic abuser is someone who takes advantage of a
situation. They may not be particularly interested one way or
another in high school boys per se but takes advantage of a
situation where they have access to kids and they are able to
through charm, persuasion, whatever get them involved in a
sexual act.

“Very often the adults who sexually abuse high school kids are
not preferential abusers. They’re opportunistic abusers. They
just take advantage of whatever situation comes about.“

Gordon not only had opportunity, the former players and their
attorneys allege in interviews and the lawsuit, she also used
her position as trainer and as Strauss’ daughter as leverage in
pursuing sexual acts with the minor-aged boys.

“There is no real difference than if it was a teacher or a
priest or anybody in authority,” said sex therapist Stephen
Braveman, a leading expert on the sexual abuse of boys by adult
women. “When somebody in authority they’re supposed to listen to
them and do what they are told and it’s hard to say no even when
they think something is a little wrong about this.

“She’s a trainer and she’s training them how to be successful
and win and all. If you can be good at sex you can be good (at
sports).

“The power dynamic is definitely there.”

John Doe 7042 was Gordon’s first alleged victim, according to
the lawsuit.

He was first introduced to Gordon as a freshman in 2001 when he
was promoted to the varsity of the CIF playoffs.

“Under the guise of providing medical treatment and physical
therapy, Gordon took advantage of John Doe 7042 during
treatments and sexually assaulted him by repeatedly brushing her
hand against John Doe 7042’s groin and penis,” according to the
lawsuit.

The player was 14 at the time.

“I was taken back by it because it was forward as hell,” the
player said.

Gordon’s abuse escalated to fondling and performing oral sex on
the player until weeks later he returned to the locker room
during practice to retrieve items from his locker. Gordon was in
the locker room and the pair had sex “while his teammates were
practicing,” according to the lawsuit.

“It was like I was put on a freeway in the wrong direction,” the
player said. “Put on the freeway and I didn’t even have a
license.”

Once Doe 7042 was sleeping in a van carrying him and his
teammates to a football camp in Oregon when he awoke to find
Gordon performing oral sex on him, according to the lawsuit.

“I woke up shocked,” he said.

But if his teammates noticed no one said anything.

“It wasn’t out of the ordinary,” Doe 7042 said.

Gordon continued to have sex with the teenager through the
remainder of his high school career.

“At the time I was, ‘It’s cool,’ because you were supposed to
feel like it was cool,” the player said. “But it definitely
didn’t feel like it was supposed to be happening.”

John Doe 7047 was introduced to Gordon by John Doe 7042.

Doe 7047 was promoted to varsity as a sophomore in 2001. It was
during this time that he began receiving regular therapy and
treatment from Gordon “in the unsupervised areas” of the locker
and training rooms, according to the lawsuit.

“As John Doe 7047 excelled in his athletic skills, John Doe
7047’s interactions with Gordon became more frequent,” the
lawsuit said.” Gordon became increasingly flirtatious, displayed
outward favoritism, started inappropriately touching and
fondling John Doe 7047’s genitals on CJUSD property.”

The following year, when Doe 7047 was 16, Gordon began having
intercourse and oral sex with the player in the training room
and at her home, a pattern that continued throughout his time at
Colton High, according to the suit.

“Almost immediately” after transferring to Colton in the fall of
2003, John Doe 7043 began hearing rumors of inappropriate
sexual misconduct between Gordon and other minor student-
athletes, according to the suit.

“On one occasion, John Doe 7043 walked into the training room,
abruptly startling Gordon and John Doe 7047, a star player of
the Yellowjackets, who appeared to be in a compromising
position,” the lawsuit said.

Later that season Gordon took Doe 7043 on a date to a local
drive-in theater. She began kissing the player, who was 17 at
the time, and then performed oral sex on him in the backseat of
her car, according to the lawsuit.

She would later have sexual intercourse with the player at
different locations at the school and her father’s house during
the weekly “Captains’ Dinners” between the team’s captains and
the coaching staff, the lawsuit said.

John Doe 7044 also started hearing rumors about Gordon’s alleged
sexual misconduct shortly after enrolling at Colton High in 2002.

“It was just the environment and all around it that was super
sexually charged.”

During a Captains’ Dinner his senior year he said he witnessed
Gordon “disappear” with another player. Shortly thereafter Doe
7044 sent her a text confronting her about having oral sex with
players, he said.

“I was expecting her to go scorched earth on me,” Doe 7044
recalled. “Instead of shutting it down she said send me a photo
of your penis.”

Gordon responded by texting the player a nude photo of herself
with the message that they needed “to take care of this” the
next day, according to the lawsuit.

The following day Gordon gave Doe 7044 a massage for the first
time and when the locker room was empty performed oral sex on
him.

The player was 17 at the time and had not been sexually active
he said. But shortly after the first encounter, he and Gordon
were having sex “almost daily,” the former player said.

The former player said he thought Gordon would help him by
making sure the coaching staff mentioned him to college coaches.
“She would make sure they sent film out, called those coaches.
Instead, I was getting Jerry Sanduskyed,” the former player
said, referring to the former Penn State assistant coach who was
convicted for molesting boys. Some of Sandusky’s sexual abuse
took place in the Penn State locker room.

“The focus was shifted from working out to trying to find places
to have sex with Tiff,” Doe 7044 continued.

When rumors about Gordon and the player having sex started
spreading during his senior year, Gordon told him to change the
name attached to her telephone number on his cell phone and put
a photo of an African American girl on the contact page, the
former player said.

Gordon began fondling John Doe 7045 during treatment his
freshman season, according to the lawsuit. During his junior
season, Gordon had sex with him 20 times, according to the
lawsuit. Gordon continued to have sex with Doe 7045 during his
senior season including at Captains’ Dinners in which she “would
regularly pull” him aside to have “unprotected sex in her
bedroom” at her parents’ house, the lawsuit alleged.

Doe 7045 said his interactions with Gordon shaped how he viewed
sex and relationships.

“It felt normal to have sex and not have a relationship and
think it’s OK to have sex and not text them or talk to them
until you want it again,” the player said.

Realizing it was not normal
But over time, the former players said they began to realize
that their interactions with Gordon were not normal. Some of
them might have bragged about having sex with Gordon or high-
fived teammates after allegedly getting spatted. But as they
struggled in their relationships, in their marriages, had issues
with their bosses, had trust issues with just about anybody in
authority, they began to see what happened in high school in a
different light.

“At that time it might not seem like a problem,” Braveman said.
“How could it be abuse? If nothing happens they just move on,
they graduate, nobody ever says anything about it. Years later
they may not think anything of it until they have kids and of
the same age and then they go, ‘Oh, that’s how old I was. Oh my
god, I was victimized at that age.’

“If nothing else, society says it’s against the law. So they
were victims. A law was broken and they were victims. And then
you get back to your niece, your nephew, your son, would you
want this to happen to them? They’re a victim, whether they felt
victimized or not.”

Doe 7045 was in a sociology class in college. Sex abuse was part
of the course’s focus.

“That’s when I realized I was molested,” the former player said.
“I was like ‘dang, that feels a lot like what happened to me.’

“That’s when I understood what happened to me wasn’t right. It
kind of dawned on me in college that these things change kids
and how they deal with the world.”

But for the most part, the former players kept their feelings to
themselves.

“It’s one thing for this to be with a Mrs. Robinson next door,”
Finkelhor said. “But when likaf bowrcourson next doaini vakingtball-obsesf it wa44.

Tiffany Strauss Gordon, the daughter of a legendary high school
coach has been accused of sexually abusing several former Colton
High School football players during her time as the team’s
trainer, according to a recently filed lawsuit.
A group of ex-Colton High School football stars, anonymously
identified as six separate John Does, claim the alleged sexual
abuse by high school trainer Tiffany Strauss Gordon persisted
even though coaches with the program were suspicious of her
behavior, the lawsuit argues.

The lawsuit also claims other members of the football team,
players’ parents and school staff were aware of Gordon’s
misconduct while the school district failed to report or
investigate claims brought to them.

The lawsuit states that the school district first became aware
of allegations against Gordon between 2002 and 2006.

Tiffany Strauss Gordon has now been placed on administrative
leave pending the outcome of a police investigation.

The Colton High School is making headlines after the Six High
School football players are suing their district and athletic
trainer while alleging that Tiffany Gordon sexually abused them
and raped them back in 2000s

The 6 anonymous men, who identified as John Does, alleged that
their trainer Tiffany Gordon raped them while they played
football between 2000 to 2007.

Tiffany Gordon, who worked as an athletic trainer under her
father is a longtime coach of the same school.

School Football Players Students From 2000-2007
Gordon was also the athletic director Harold Strauss before she
became the athletic director at Grand Terrace High school.
Strauss died in 2019.

According to a report by the Los Angeles Times, the lawsuit of
the 6 players claims that other members of their football team,
the parents of the player’s and the school staff were all aware
of the misconduct of Gordon.

As per the same report, the school district failed to report or
even investigate the claims brought against them.

The lawsuit also alleges that the school district first became
aware of Gordon’s misconduct between 2002 to 2006.

One of the players who identified as John Doe 7045, claims that
when he told a coach that he and another student were being
abused and they are planning to report it to the district. The
wife of the coach suggested that it would not be successful.

According to a report by DailyMail, the lawsuit reads that,
“Despite rampant rumors surrounding Gordon’s misconduct, (the
school district) knowingly, intentionally, willfully,
deliberately, negligently, and/or recklessly allowed Gordon to
continue abusing Colton High School’s varsity football players,
including plaintiffs.”

As per the reports, the football players were able to report
these allegations under the Assembly Bill 218, which took effect
on January 1. The bill gives the alleged victims an extended
statute of limitations for civil claims.

The lawyer defending the athletes, Brian Williams said in a
statement that, “This important law gives survivors of sexual
abuse an opportunity to be heard and a chance to heal.”

Meanwhile the Colton Joint Unified School opened up about the
allegations and stated that, “Although the current
administrative team members are not in the leadership member
with the district for 20 years.”

They further added that the district leadership team is “very
concerned about the allegations.”

Meanwhile another victim identified as John Doe 7043, who
transferred to the school during his senior year in 2003 said
that, while he was on the football team, Gordon made advances on
him while inviting him to a drive-in theatre.

As per John Doe 7043, Gordon, sexually abused him in the
backseat of the car.

Following that another victim who is identified as John Doe
7047, and who joined the team as a sophomore in 2000 alleged
that Gordon first raped him when he was 16 years of age and
continued to do so throughout his high school.

Another victim, John Doe 7042 said that after he joined the
varsity football team in 2001, Gordon sexually assaulted him at
the time when he was being treated for injuries he suffered
while playing football.

Following that another victim, John Doe 7044 revealed that he
believes certain players were targeted because they needed money
to buy food and rides home from school.

Another alleged victim, John Doe 7046, said he was allegedly
sexually abused by Gordon while he was on the team. He further
claimed that Gordon sexually abused him in the locker room
during 2007 Halloween.

John Doe 7046 went on to claim that Gordon’s father Strauss
interrupted them and asked why the lights were off.

To which, Gordon allegedly said that they were “just closing up
and leaving.”

Meanwhile the school district said that they have made
themselves “completely available” to the Colton Police
Department amid the investigation.

As of now, Gordon has been placed on administrative leave.

The daughter of a legendary high school coach is accused of
sexually abusing several former Colton High School football
players during her time as the team's athletic trainer.

"The District has made itself, and will continue to make itself,
completely available to the Colton Police Department," school
officials wrote in a statement. "The District is committed to
ensuring that law enforcement has access to all of the facts and
information for their investigation."

"Unexpectedly, Coach Strauss entered the locker room,
interrupting Gordon's ongoing sexual assault of John Doe 7046,"
attorneys said in the lawsuit. "When Coach Strauss made his way
through the locker room, he confronted the two and asked why the
lights were off. Gordon made excuses claiming they were closing
up and leaving."

Williams said that rather than doing something about the sexual
assaults, coaches made jokes about Gordon's behavior calling it
"Tiffany's special treatment."

"As you can see from our complaint, we believe there are several
employees, coaching staff, personnel administrators at the
school who failed these kids and so the school district is
liable based upon the failures of its employees."

Six former Colton High School football players in San Bernardino
County are suing the Colton Joint Unified School District and
its former athletic trainer, alleging that she sexually abused
them more than a decade ago.

The men, referred to as John Does in the lawsuit filed Friday,
allege that during the 2000s, when they were varsity football
players, they were sexually abused by the school's athletic
trainer, Tiffany Gordon. She is the daughter of the school's
former head football coach and athletic director, Harold
Strauss, who died in 2019. Gordon began working for the district
around 2001 and most recently was the athletic director at Grand
Terrace High School.

They also allege that other members of the football team, the
players' parents and the staff knew about Gordon's alleged
misconduct between 2002 and 2006 and that the school district
failed to report and investigate the alleged abuse.

"Despite rampant rumors surrounding Gordon’s misconduct, CJUSD
knowingly, intentionally, willfully, deliberately, negligently,
and/or recklessly allowed Gordon to continue abusing Colton High
School’s varsity football players, including plaintiffs,"
according to the lawsuit. "In doing so, defendants fostered a
pervasive and hostile environment that utterly disregarded the
rights and safety of minor athletes who were entrusted to CJUSD."

The district confirmed in a statement that Gordon has been
placed on administrative leave and the district has made itself
"completely available to the Colton Police Department."

Gordon didn't respond to multiple requests for comment Monday.

"Although the current administrative team members were not in
leadership roles with the district 20 years ago, the district
leadership team is extremely concerned about the allegations
being made," according to a district statement. "Our commitment
is always to the safety and well-being of our students, families
and staff, and we will work with local law enforcement to
protect our community and lend our support to any victims in
this case."

John Doe 7042, who began attending Colton in 2001 and joined the
varsity football team that year, said he was sexually assaulted
by Gordon when he sought treatment for injuries he suffered
playing football. The abuse escalated weeks later, when he was
allegedly raped by Gordon in the school's locker room while his
teammates were at practice. The man claimed the abuse continued
throughout the rest of his time at the school, detailing in the
lawsuit places on campus where Gordon allegedly raped him,
including bathrooms, the school's weight room, and a trailer.

Another accuser, John Doe 7047, joined the football team as a
sophomore in the fall of 2000 and alleges in the lawsuit that he
was also sexually abused by Gordon. When he was 16, he said,
Gordon allegedly raped him for the first time and continued to
do so through the rest of his high school career.

According to the lawsuit, John Doe 7043 transferred to the high
school during his senior year in the fall of 2003, when he was
17. During the football season that year, Gordon allegedly made
advances on the then-student, including inviting him on a date
to a drive-in theater, where she sexually abused him in the back
seat of the car. During a dinner at Strauss' house, John Doe
7043 said he witnessed Gordon leave the room with John Doe 7047,
who later told him that Gordon had sexually abused him.

Another former student, identified in the lawsuit as John Doe
7044, said he had heard rumors his freshman year that Gordon was
allegedly abusing students, according to the lawsuit. During his
senior year, he allegedly confronted Gordon in a text about the
rumors; in return, Gordon allegedly told him to send her
pictures of his penis and sent him nude photographs of herself.
She allegedly sexually assaulted him the next day in the locker
room and the abuse continued throughout his senior year until he
cut off contract with her.

“They really could’ve stopped it at any time,” he said an
interview with The Times. “Everybody knew from when I stepped
foot on Colton High that it was a rumor, so at the very least,
they could’ve seen what this rumor was about. At no point did
they ever step in to stop it.”

John Doe 7044 said he believes Gordon targeted him and the other
alleged victims because they were particularly vulnerable, often
needing rides home from school or money to buy food.

"I think the fact that we were a bunch of poor kids, nobody had
the thought to protect us outside the football field," he said.

John Doe 7046 also alleges that he was sexually abused by Gordon
while he was on the team. On Halloween in 2007, he alleged that
Gordon was sexually abusing him in the locker room when Strauss
interrupted them and asked why the lights were off. Gordon
allegedly said that they were "just closing up and leaving." The
alleged abuse continued throughout John Doe 7046's senior year.

He said the alleged abuse affected his relationships later on in
life, especially when his own child reached high school.

“Every year, I was thinking there was more kids getting put in
danger and more kids probably ending up like me and being
touched and messed up,” he said. “I knew it was wrong then, but
I was so young and as I got older, you see things as they really
are.”

One of the men, John Doe 7045, also said that he disclosed to a
coach that he and another student were thinking about telling
the district about Gordon's alleged misconduct. The coach's wife
then allegedly told him that Gordon would "likely blame the
students for her misconduct" and school administrators wouldn't
believe him because of Gordon's authority and status. The men
didn't end up reporting the misconduct to the school, he said.

The lawsuit, filed in San Bernardino County Superior Court, was
brought under Assembly Bill 218, which went into effect Jan. 1,
2020, and gave alleged victims of childhood sexual abuse more
time to report allegations by extending the statute of
limitations for civil claims. The statute of limitations for a
criminal charge of statutory rape in California is one year for
a misdemeanor offense and three years for a felony.

“In passing AB 218, California lawmakers recognized that it
often takes years, or even decades, for survivors of childhood
sexual abuse to come forward,” said Brian Williams, an attorney
for Greenberg Gross LLP, representing the alleged victims. “This
important law gives survivors of sexual abuse an opportunity to
be heard and a chance to heal.”

The men said that they believed that the alleged abuse was
"normal, and even lauded" because of the coaches' minimization
of the assaults. They said that it "significantly affected and
shaped the students' perceptions of intimacy, relationships and
responsibilities at a young and impressionable age."

Ultimately, the men said they feel the school's coaches and
other administrators failed to protect them and that a system
should be put in place to help students report alleged
misconduct.

“I felt like we couldn’t say anything. That our words wouldn’t
have mattered,” John Doe 7046 said in an interview. “When I got
older, I didn’t want my kid or anyone else’s kid to feel like
how we felt — like we didn’t have a voice.”
