PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A car with no plates drove up to a crowd outside
the PSU library on Thursday afternoon. The driver got out and began
spraying people with pepper spray indiscriminately.

According to a spokesperson for the Portland Police Bureau, the driver
then ran away.

The crowd then surrounded the car and began smashing its windows.

No one was seriously injured.

Police are investigating and did not have any further information.

This came after a morning of arrests and clashes between police in riot
gear and pro-Palestine protesters at Portland State University.

22 people were arrested after state troopers and Portland police officers
surrounded the building.

Groups of people continued to surround the area through the day on
Thursday as the campus remained closed and locked down.
